Terry,

Appreciate the comments. If that happens then it makes the writer happy. I hope you get a chance to visit there next January and that you aren't disappointed.

Chas,

Thanks for the comments. There are many hidden gems around Ubon and Pantae is one of them. It is refreshing to sit in there relax, surf the net or talk.

I will have to tray that som tam/ribs shop out next time. Sound like a plan.

Darwin:
While picking up some som-tum and grilled ribs from the place a couple doors down, I found Pantae totally by accident. What a hidden gem! Like Dao Cafe, they have free wi-fi, but for those who live in Warin, Pantae saves the headache of traveling to the other side of the bridge. The garden is breathtaking, and feels like an oasis in the desert. Thanks for spreading the word about this place, since I definitely want it to be there on our next trip 'home.'
Incidentally, the som-tum place a couple doors up is also great, and semi-famous for its grilled ribs. Check it out when you get the chance.

What a wonderful description. I am in Ireland but travel to Thailand for the month of January every year. Have been to Ubon once for a few days and enjoyed. That coffee shop is just where I want to be NOW.
