		<description>It certainly is an absolute tragedy in Haiti. A country so poor and to have this happen.

I often think that we are blessed in Thailand. One thing is for sure, if an earthquake struck here most buildings would fall down. Maybe pillars would still remain but all those walls built with little bricks would fall down like a pack of cards. There never seems to be any reinforcing betwen the pillars.

As a Kiwi we read about the Montana hotel in Port-au-Prince. A NZ lady working at the UN there just managed to get out of the collasped UN building, rushed back to the Montana hotel where her family was staying. She dug out her 2 year daughter alive but lost her husband and 2 other daughters aged 5 and 7.

I wionder if Haiti will ever recover.</description>
